Biography
José is a Principal at Gensler in Dubai and leads the firm's Workplace practice for the Middle East, working closely with banks, sovereign funds, and global corporations to design offices that hold up to how people actually work, not just how they look.
Joining Gensler in 2008 after practicing in the United States and South America, José brings more than 25 years of experience translating business strategy into workplaces that perform, measured in real terms such as energy use, employee retention, and how efficiently a space runs. He recently led The NEST, Schneider Electric's Dubai headquarters and the first project in its Global Impact Buildings Programme. Across the Work sector in the Middle East, he has expanded the footprint of international clients including JPMorgan Chase, Citibank, Visa, Clifford Chance, and IBM, while growing regional accounts including Riyad Bank, MAF, Jadwa Investment, Qiddiya, and PIF.

The need to create attractive destinations that boast inclusive and welcoming spaces, which empower people to focus, connect, and collaborate, has never been more important.
